About ClaudeSkillsGuide

The curated discovery layer for the Claude open-source ecosystem.

Why this directory exists

GitHub is the primary discovery layer for Claude skills, MCP servers, and prompts. However, the ecosystem is highly fragmented. Repositories are scattered across topics, personal profiles, and obscure gists. Communities are hard to find in one place.

This directory organizes the ecosystem into a searchable public index. It functions as an "awesome list meets product directory meets dev community hub." Our goal is to make it trivial for developers to find the exact skill they need, and for open-source maintainers to get their work discovered.

Our Curation Principles

Useful over promotional

We prioritize repositories that offer genuine utility, code, or knowledge over marketing pages and wrappers.

Curated, not scraped

Every submission is manually reviewed. We don't blindly scrape GitHub topics; we curate the best tools.

Categorized for discovery

Submissions are tagged and categorized to ensure they surface exactly when developers need them.

Community-first

This directory relies on open-source maintainers and power users submitting the best tools they find.

Join the Ecosystem

Whether you've built a new MCP server, curated a prompt library, or manage a Discord community, we want to feature it.
